Volvo Mean Green breaks speed record
It reached a standing kilometre speed of 153.252 km/h and a new flying kilometre record at 236.577 km/h.
Volvo was aiming to break the 260km/h mark, just falling short, but was still good enough to eclipse 'Mean Green's' previous record of 219 km/h set in 2001, and establishing a new benchmark speed of 236 km/h.
'Mean Green' is owned and driven by Boije Ovebrink.
