Toyota support NSW RFS
The new Toyota 8-Series forklift provides logistical and aviation support for the new $3.7 million NSW RFS North Rivers Zone Fire Control Centre Complex, located at Casino Airport.
The NSW RFS chose the big 2.5-tonne 8FD25 for a number of reasons, including the ability to operate on grass, as well as its lifting capacity to load bottles of fire-fighting foam. The 8FD25 is also used for pallet racking and storage operations.
"The Toyota 8-Series forklifts offer leading design and safety features, such as Automatic Fork Levelling Control to level forks during loading and Active Control Rear Stabiliser, which locks the rear axle to help reduce the potential of lateral tip-overs," TMHA's North Coast manager Andrew Booth said.
National Toyota forklift retailer Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) has also supplied a BT SWE120S Walkie Stacker for general use at the NSW RFS Coffs Harbour Airport facility.
